FULL OR HALF DAY CLIMB

Ride the Defender from the old mining town of Triumph up to the ridgeline that overlooks Baldy. A short hike brings you to the base of Stubby’s Rock, where there are beginner to advanced climbing routes. This is a great family adventure or perfect spot to learn how to climb! There is a maximum of 5 people or it requires a second trip down to pick up the rest of the group. The venue can be used for half to full day climbing. All climbing gear is provided.

 

What is provided:

●      AMGA certified and/or trained guide

●      Guides will be carrying a first aid kit, navigation equipment, inReach satellite device, repair kit, and survival supplies

●      Harness

●      Helmet

●      Climbing shoes

●      Belay device

●      Ropes, carabiners, anchors, etc.

*if you bring your own climbing equipment, it must be in good working condition and purchased new within the last 7 years

 

What you need:

●      Lunch, snacks

●      1-2 liters of water

●      Warm layer such as fleece jacket, sweater, other warm layer (regardless of hot weather)

●      Rain jacket (such as the North Face Dryzzle Futurelight Jacket)

●      Lightweight pants or shorts (if weather is forecast to be warm), no cotton such as Jeans or Sweatpants

●      T-shirt is acceptable in warmer weather, but sun hoodie (such as the North Face Wander Hoodie) is recommended

●      Sneakers or light duty hiking boots (no sandals/flip flops)

●      Sun glasses, sunscreen, lip balm, and a hat

●      Day pack that is big enough to carry all the above items

***Guide gratuity not included. As part of the service industry, it is customary to tip your guide(s) if you are happy with their service and should reflect a level of excellence in the service. If you choose to tip, 10-20% of the total trip fee is standard and cash/Venmo is the preferred method.
